Horse Drawn Carriage Tour
Pricing for Carriage:
Open Carriage Ride (15-20 minutes) $35 (1-4 people)
Private Carriage Ride (30 minutes) $80 (up to 10 people)

Artist’s Exhibits & Gallery Tour
Meet Central Texas’ finest landscape and western artists
displaying their work through the eight galleries located in the downtown
district. Self-guided tour maps are available at the reception area. The Inn can
arrange for invitations to artist receptions, gallery opening exhibits, and art
workshops that are occurring during your stay.
Bike Tour of Historic Salado
Bring your mountain bikes and discover historic remnants of
the Chisholm Trail at your pace on a self-guided tour. The Chisholm Trail came
up Main Street, and the stage lines that served Central Texas included Salado
among their stops. One can still see wagon wheel ruts and remnants from the old
Salado College.

Annual Wildflower Art Show, Saturday, March 29, 2008
The Village of Salado, Texas announces the seventh annual Wildflower Art Show, to be held Saturday, March 29th and
Sunday, March 30th. Stroll under the oak trees on the grounds of the historical Salado Civic Center as you enjoy the
original works of the artists and craftsmen in a wide range of media.
Fine Art Gallery Tour, Saturday, May 10, 2008, 4pm-9pm
Come enjoy the Fine Art Galleries open for your late night interaction. Visit with the artists. Partake of cheese and refreshments provided by the Galleries. A horse drawn carriage will ferry you from location to location.

Featuring over 100 artists and artisans from Texas and throughout the Southwest. Free parking throughout the village.
Christmas in October Friday, October 10, 2008 9am-5pm
Continuing a tradition that has been in place for over three decades, the Salado Chamber of Commerce Ladies Auxiliary and local merchants will host their annual Christmas in October Celebration on October 12th & 13th. This event has something for everyone. The community comes alive with early Holiday shopping, informal style shows, entertainment, a giant bake sale, vintage car show, and refreshments. Even Mr. and Mrs. Claus won't be able to resist the opportunity to visit. Admission, parking, light refreshments and all events are free.
