About the Inn
Escape to the gracious southern hospitality of Inn on the Creek while enjoying the privacy, seclusion and romance of this intimate getaway just 50 miles north of Austin. Relax in this unspoiled, natural creek side setting nestled in between the tall cypress and the beautifully landscaped grounds. Picnic along the banks of Salado Creek, cozy up with a great book and a glass of wine on the porch, or leisurely stroll the many shops and galleries a few blocks away.
Inn on the Creek is an elegant 14-room Victorian inn with private-club style service and gourmet dining to satisfy any five-star palate. The staff provides concierge services throughout your stay and is always happy to accommodate special requests whether you are one of our cherished guests or a visiting dignitary. Room rates include maid service for multiple-day stays and a full southern-style breakfast.
Manor:
The original structure was built in 1882 in Cameron, Texas. It was moved to Salado in 1986 by the original innkeepers. The structure was fully restored and opened in March 1987. The Manor is nestled along the creek with a beautiful canopy of trees featuring seven exquisite guest rooms all with full baths.
Holland House:
Originally constructed in nearby Holland, Texas, now the house is situated across the street from the Manor. Restoration was completed in 1993, featuring five elegant guest rooms all with private baths.
Giles-Kindred House:
The Giles-Kindred House is perfect for families or small groups. The Giles-Kindred House is ideal for those seeking quiet, secluded privacy.

Guest Rooms
Whether you choose our cozy two bedroom, two bath Giles Kindred cottage; our spacious third-floor McKie Suite with its library nook and window seat overlooking Salado Creek; or one of our lovely traditional rooms, our guest accommodations will surround you with the simple, quiet elegance of a bygone era. Richly appointed with period pieces, yet always warm and welcoming, our guest rooms are designed for the ultimate in relaxation.
High-speed wireless internet access is also available at no charge in all guest rooms and common areas throughout the Manor, Holland House, College Quarters, Restaurant, and creek-side. (There is no internet access provided in the Giles House).
Rates are per room per night, double occupancy, and include breakfast for two in our dining room each morning, served at 9:00am.

I have to say the new hot tub has got to be our favorite addition to the Inn! Our friends at The Backyard Toystore (located in Salado) exceeded our expectations with the installation of the new 11 seater Cal-Spa. (And I’m finally posting a picture so guests will know what to expect when they arrive…and to encourage our patrons to pack their swimsuits!) The jets massage away all the built up tension in your muscles while the combination of watching a beautiful sunset over Salado Creek & enjoying your favorite beverage make a path straight to relaxation! Inn on the Creek robes are perfect to wear down from your room, and the terry cloth lining is all you need to dry off after your “dip”.

From time to time the Inn has last-minute cancellations, and there are some weekends during the year when Salado is perfect for couples who prefer less "hustle & bustle" in the galleries and boutiques. If you would like to take advantage of special room rates we will offer during these times, please sign up to be notified when they are available. We will contact you by email, and you will qualify for the special rate by booking your reservation online through our website. Sometimes an "unexpected escape" to Inn on the Creek is just what you need!
